[ Tony shoulders a lot more than just that. Probably, likely, to his own detriment. He likes that here he doesn't have to do that. That he can just be himself, which is something very few people get to see. Tony adores Matt, for every flaw he finds and each small bit of time he gets to steal from him. The fact that he helps him navigate a world he wouldn't have been a part of without him.

He's glad that Matt let him in. He doesn't push for the reasons why he's reserved at times, and he's learned to kind of tone down his more extravagant gestures. It's not that he thinks that this is why people want him around, but more that this is, in part, how he shows his affection. He likes the ways that Matt chooses to show his affection, in these moments, and other small ones that warm his heart.

Tony's heart does a happy flutter in his chest at the sound of Matt's laugh, and he can't help the answering chuckle. He leans in and presses their foreheads together, noses brushing. He helps Matt with his belt and pants, stumbling a little in his haste to help get them out of the way and failing. There's a soft oof when he ends up on the bed first with an arm and lap full of the other man.

Hands settled on the other man's hips, he grins and leans in to nip at Matt's jaw. ]

[ Ducking his face down to find his pulse point along his throat and gently lave attention at the spot. ]

[Taking up blame is a more healthy sort of self destruction. Matt would much rather that in Tony, in himself as well. Growing closer and closer to this man it is easier to read his motives. Make what's already there better. A tinkerer and a fixer the way Matt has been trying to be a protector and fighter since who knows how long.

Nelson and Murdock paychecks won't get Tony a nice car or tickets to that band he likes. Matt will remember what bands they are, what songs he likes and what albums he has. And the time spent together he's present. This is important to him. It's not just touch and taste. The feeling and state of being here with him.

No pants so there's that. And he snickers at the bite, it makes his jaw drop and he rolls his hip.]

[ They're both pretty good in that arena. The self-destruction, that is. Self-sacrifice is another hard play that the two of them deal with. He's surprised he kept his identity a secret from some people for so long.

He likes that Matt will remember songs he likes, or the bands and their albums. He also knows what small luxuries he can afford to dote on Matt with. Like snacks from a local bakery that doesn't use any chemical additives, and it's all made by hand. Or soft blankets and sheets so that he can rest (when he does stumble in) in comfort at least.

Tony watches hungrily at the way that Matt's jaw drops, and groans softly at the roll of his hip. ]

Sounds like a pretty good plan.

[ Said in a rush, half-mumbled as he kisses on down his neck and to his collarbone, dropping a kiss at the hollow of his throat. It's an easy night, no rush or anything more than the two of them. They don't always get to take their time. ]

[ He knows he'll get to return the favor in time. ]

[Matt Murdock strives to stay in people's blind spot. They only see of him what he wants. If you stand like a fighter they'll see a fighter. If you walk around with a stumble and confusion then the rest is very easy. Not everyone has Tony's critical eye.

The sheets they can share. And now and again their music tastes align. The deep cuts of 90s bands. Jazz selections. Oh and some sick prog rock.]

[The current of affections runs both ways. The wire is live. Matt is tuned in as he strokes down Tony's now bare back. Little points under the skin where there's hardware.]

[ He does a damn good job of it. It's still strange to know what he does, and know that the rest of the world (for the most part) is none the wiser. They don't spend a lot of time out together in public, mostly for the sake of Matt's identity. Also, probably for the sake of his sanity. It's not easy being on the periphery of Tony Stark.

When their tastes don't align it's refreshing. He doesn't often get to try things that are new, and he likes the simple ways he's introduced to more that he never would have found without Matt. There's a definite smile that comes to his face at Matt's comment, affectionate and warm. He hopes it sounds out enough in his voice, in his heartbeat, and with his touch. ]

[ Which is hopefully a very, very long time. There's an electric current that runs through him at the other man's touch that has nothing to do with the implants under his skin, or the reactor in his chest. The only other person that can get as close to it as Matt is Pepper, which is telling in so many ways. ]

Guess that means I'll just have to drop in more often. Maybe surprise you? I mean, that'd be a challenge, but I'm good for it.

[ He'd make it a personal mission to find a way. He groans in mock upset at the loss of warmth as Matt moves to climb off of him, but it's quickly replaced by a soft hum as he tries to help get his own pants out of the way. ]

[When was the last time Tony knew true anonymity? There have been small scandals in the gossip magazine circuit about secret rendezvous and cheating by people who don't understand the nature of this attraction. Matt is kept out of that limelight. Less attention, less fuss. And in doing that a bit of protection to what parts of Tony's reputation remain. He doesn't want to be participating in tarnishing his legacy, his company, his life no matter which way the pendulum of favor swings.

Sharing interests like the brief meditations and calming exercises he's come across. Did Tony meditate before? Hell's Kitchen is in no short supply of mom and pop places to go for snacks and exotic food. Tony is also constantly showing Matt new things his phone can do to make life easier for him. Opposites can learn so much from one another.

There's love and then there is loving Tony Stark.]
